As per today, we have strengthened our commercial ambitions by adding Marcel van de Gender to the team. Carrying the role of VP Customer Expansion, the highly experienced Van de Gender will further expand the EMEA market for the Utrecht based scale-up.
Van de Gender is no stranger to the ICT sector. He was previously very successful at Dropbox as Head of Channel Sales Benelux. In 2017, Van de Gender was even nominated for the “Channel Manager of the Year” award, for his contribution to the significant sales and marketing growth of the cloud storage service.
Prior to his years at Dropbox, Van de Gender made his mark at Microsoft, where he held various partner-related positions. He also experienced several transitions up close at renowned companies such as Fujitsu, Dell and Escom.
Effectiveness of marketing budgets
Van de Gender is very happy to be active again within the vertical he knows best: “Rick van den Bosch (CEO) and Hennie Jansen (CCO) approached me a few months ago.” The exceptional growth of the company and the potential of the product were ultimately the deciding factor. “Channext solves a problem we all know very well: purposefully allocating and measuring the effectiveness of marketing budgets within channel. During the years I’ve experienced this myself, and am therefore looking forward to inspiring and helping out vendors to tackle this challenge.”
Realizing EMEA ambitions
